- Serves 14,200 permanent residents within an approximately 9 square mile area of Carter County, TN. EFD also provides emergency response to 4 Elementary Schools, 2 Middle Schools, 2 High Schools and 4 College Campuses. The Elizabethton Airport, Wings Air Rescue, Sycamore Shoals Hospital, 5 nursing homes and 4 retirement homes also reside within EFD's coverage area.

Elizabethton
- Frontline fleet of 4 Fire Engines, 1 Aerial Ladder Truck, and 1 Brush Truck. Also maintain 1-reserve Fire Engine.
- 1st motorized Fire Apparatus purchased. a 1923 Ford Model-T, on display at Station 1 and can be seen every year driving downtown in the Annual Christmas Parade.
FRONTLINE FIRE APPARATUS
- Brush-1 is a 2008 Ford F550, equipped with a 250 GPM pump and a 250 gallon water tank. Brush-1 is driven by the on-duty Battalion Chief and responds out of Station #2.
- Engine-3 is a 2021 Pierce Saber w// a 1,500 GPM pump and a 1,000 gallon water tank. E-3 responds out of Station #1.
- E-5 is a 1993 Pierce Dash with a 1,000 GPM pump and a 750 gallon water tank.E-5 responds out of Station #1.
- E-6 is a 2004 Pierce Contender with a 1,250 GPM pump and a 1,000 gallon water tank. E-6 responds out of Station #2.
- E-7 is a 2012 Pierce Saber with a 1,250 GPM pump and a 1,000 gallon water tank. E-7 is driven by the on-duty Shift Sergeant and responds out of Station #1
- Ladder-1 is a 1998 Pierce Dash 75' Aerial Ladder Truck with a 1,500 GPM pump and a 500 gallon water tank. Ladder-1 Responds out of Station #3.
- Engine-4 E-4 is a 2000 International-Pierce Responder with a 1,250 GPM pump and a 1,000 gallon water tank. E-4 is on standby at station 1.
- Model T - This is a 1923 Ford Model-T Chemical and Hose Truck. The "T-Model", as we call it, is on display at Station #1.

Fire Station #1, built in 1961, serves as EFD Headquarters and is manned by 5 full-time Firemen per shift, including the Battalion Chief, Lieutenant and Sergeant. Station 1 also serves as home to the EFD Administrative and Fire Prevention offices. Station 1 maintains and operates 3 frontline Fire Apparatus (E-5, E-7 & Brush-1).
DENNIS YOUNCE FIRE STATION Fire Station 2, built in 1970, is manned by 2 full-time Firemen per shift. Station 2 maintains and operates 1 frontline Fire Apparatus (E-6) and 1 reserve Fire Apparatus (E-3). Station 2 is named after retired Fire Chief Dennis Younce, who served as EFD Chief 1958-1982.
BILL CARTER FIRE STATION Fire Station 3, built in 1997, is manned by 3 full-time Firemen per shift. Station 3 maintains and operates 2 frontline Fire Apparatus (E-4 & Ladder-1). Station 3 is named after retired Fire Chief Bill Carter, who served as EFD Chief 1982-1997.
